It might be a little late, but with 12 weeks still to go in the 2015 NFL Season there is still time for a weekly prognostication post from the staff at Dawg Pound Daily.

Starting this week and running until the end of Super Bowl 50, we will pick each game (straight up) for bragging rights at the next staff meeting.

In addition, each staff writer will offer up a summary of the week’s Cleveland Browns game to support why they picked the Browns to win or lose.

Previous: 1st. Giovanni Castelli. 1. team. 53. Does anyone remember 1993? Dan Marino brought his Dolphins into Cleveland and he left having to wear a specialized shoe the rest of career. Marino was never the same quarterback after that. Peyton Manning will not leave Cleveland the same quarterback as well. The Browns defense comes alive and hands Denver their first loss of the season sending Manning into early retirement and the Broncos season into peril. Browns 24, Broncos 21. (0-0)

(0-0). Previous: 1st. Thomas Moore. 1. team. 45. While we truly want to believe in Josh McCown and the Browns, we can’t ignore history. The Browns are just 5-22 against the Broncos all-time, have lost 10 in a row to Denver, and have only beaten the Broncos twice since 1974. Peyton Manning is also 6-0 in his career against the Browns, and even with Manning at 50 percent, you have to like those odds. It’s just too much to expect the Browns to overcome all of that history, although this team should still have a surprise or two left in it this season. Broncos 20, Browns 10

If ever there was a trap game for an undefeated team, it’s this game. Of all Quarterbacks not named Brady, none in the NFL has been hotter than McCown the last 3 weeks. Denver’s offense is anemic and their defense is one of the best in the league, and tops at generating turnovers. The Browns shockingly haven’t been turning the ball over much these last few games. Denver’s offense absolutely has to put up points on the Browns awful defense. Conversely, Cleveland suddenly high-powered passing attack needs to play mistake free football against the ball-hawking defense of Denver. In the pre-season I wrote 4 bold predictions for this upcoming season, one of them was that Cleveland would beat Denver in week 6. I’m sticking with my pick and saying Denver comes in and takes Cleveland (coming off of a very emotional couple weeks) too lightly and the Browns take the upset victory in front of the Dawg Pound. Browns 21 , Broncos 20. team. 53. Peyton Manning is old, so that should help the Browns right? After last week’s win and the wondrous play of the offense, I predict another close win for the Browns. The Broncos rely on their defense, and I will make the bold claim that Josh McCown will exploit them. I know, it sounds crazy. Browns 27, Broncos 24. (0-0). Previous: 1st. team. 45. Although the Denver Broncos are not playing particularly well offensively, they are still undefeated. They haven’t played the best schedule so far, although the Browns with questions at the defensive back position (Haden, Gipson) the Broncos can look to attack early. Cleveland still remains one of the worst run defenses as well, so an injured backfield is a recipe for disaster for Peyton Manning. This Denver D is the best defense the Browns have faced thus far and the high-level production from McCown can be expected to decrease this week. Broncos 31, Browns 13. (0-0). Previous: 1st. Matthew Stevenson. 1

Eric Szczepinski. 1. team. 45. Josh McCown doesn’t eclipse the 300 yard mark this week, but does enough to keep the Browns in the game against the undefeated Broncos. However, Peyton Manning and company will prove to be too much for the Browns struggling defense to handle. Broncos 24, Browns 20. (0-0). Previous: 1st

Murray Alexander. 1. team. 45. I think this might be quite close. Manning really looks like he doesn’t have very much left and the Broncos aren’t running the ball well. Their D probably carries them to this win again though. Broncos 21, Browns 17. (0-0). Previous: 1st

45. Just like The Godfather line, “just when you think you’re out,” the Browns will “pull us back back in” to reality <span class=. (0-0). Previous: 1st. Roger Cohen. 1. team
