Cleveland Browns:

Time for the Browns to end the Johnny Manziel party

"With the release of the latest video depicting Johnny Manziel and his unquenchable desire for the bottle and the party rather than the playbook and the Cleveland Browns, the time has come to turn out the lights on the Manziel Saga. Time after time, Manziel was given opportunities to show the Cleveland Browns brass, coaching staff and, most importantly the fans, that he was on point to live up to the high expectations of a first-round pick. Time after time he promised to prepare, to be better, to not do anything to embarrass the team. This latest video, depicting Manziel  in what appears to be a drunken stupor, is the final straw. Its time to give Manziel his outright release."

Dawg Pound Daily bettor’s guide to the NFL: Week 12

"Since I’m cooking for a house full of visiting family from California, there’s little time for post-mortems or holiday handicapping … and I never won my Thanksgiving Day bets when I was gambling anyway. It was a mediocre Week 11 as the Detroit Lions and Cincinnati Bengals won, and the San Francisco 49ers and Washington Redskins lost in straight plays. My Green Bay, Carolina, New England and Baltimore teasers won, while Miami and my “guaranteed” Philadephia bet lost. (Memo to Cleveland Browns fans: whatever you think of head coach Mike Pettine, how does passing on Chip Kelly look now?). I hope you have as much as I to be thankful for – family, faith, health – and not feeling compelled to bet Thanksgiving games “just because they’re on” – but if you must, here’s some leftovers to chew on Sunday."

Dawg Pound Daily staff picks: Week 12

"Welcome back to week 12! The bye week was refreshing for all of us here at Dawg Pound Daily, maybe a little too refreshing for newly demoted quarterback Johnny Manziel. Well, Manziel may have been demoted but we are still chugging along with our weekly NFL picks! So without further ado here are our week 12 picks along with our Browns bold prediction for their lone Monday Night Football appearance since 2008!"

How Johnny Manziel lied to Mike Pettine about the partying and how it continued in Columbus (NEOMG)

"Browns coach Mike Pettine has come under heavy fire from fans for demoting Johnny Manziel for partying, but it was actually more for lying to him about it, as first reported here on Wednesday. And the Browns still might not know the extent of Manziel’s wild bye weekend, which began in Austin, Tex. on Thursday and Friday nights. A source told cleveland.com that Manziel also lived it up until the wee hours of Saturday night at XO Nightlife in Columbus, Ohio after he attended the Ohio State-Michigan State game that afternoon. The source said patrons were prohibited from taking photos or videos of Manziel while he was at the club."

Johnny Manziel’s lies to coaches true violation of trust (ESPN)

"The news that Johnny Manziel lied to the Cleveland Browns’ coaching staff about the timing of his most recent party video in Austin, Texas, takes issues with the quarterback to a whole new level. Browns coaches had done all they could to help and support Manziel throughout the year. His response: Look them in the eye and lie to them, a league source told ESPN.com. And to tell his friends to lie as well, per Fox Sports. This speaks to deeper issues for not only the Browns’ relationship with Manziel, but Manziel himself."

NFL News:

NFL: The greatest Thanksgiving memories (NFL Spin Zone)

"Hey, no ifs, ands or “butts,” Thanksgiving is a day to celebrate life, show our appreciation for what we have and take advantage of the opportunity to spend time with family and friends. Translation: Let’s eat and watch some football. Today, the Detroit Lions host the Philadelphia Eagles, the Dallas Cowboys hope to hand the 10-0 Carolina Panthers their first loss of the season and the Green Bay Packers will be retiring quarterback Brett Favre’s No. 4 tonight at Lambeau Field when they face the Chicago Bears."

New low for Chip Kelly era in Philadelphia (NFL.com)

"The new nadir of the Chip Kelly Experiment in Philadelphia came late in the third quarter of a 45-14 blowout loss to a 3-7 team. Trailing the Lions 38-7, the Eagles had fourth-and-two at midfield. Kelly punted. That was Kelly waving the white flag. Known for his aggression, theEagles’ offense now looks passive and predictable. There are few shots down the field. They are even fewer quality plays running the ball. Kelly has suffered his ugliest loss as Eagles coach in back-to-back weeks. Kelly was asked after the game how this loss measures up to other disappointments as Eagles coach."

Cowboys QB Tony Romo out for season after injuring collarbone vs. Panthers (ESPN)

"Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo’s return from a broken collarbone lasted less than two games. While X-rays on Romo’s injured left collarbone were inconclusive and the Cowboys have planned more tests for Friday, the quarterback is “done for the season,” a source close to Romo told ESPN’s Ed Werder. Romo was injured on the final play of the third quarter during Dallas’ 33-14 lossThursday when he was sacked byCarolina Panthers linebacker Thomas Davis."
