And we are back!

Week 13 is in the books and the Dawg Pound Daily staff is back again with their Week 14 picks of the NFL games.

Last week saw the New England Patriots lose at home to the Philadelphia Eagles, a Hail Mary from Aaron Rodgers helped the Green Bay Packers beat the Detroit Lions, and the Carolina Panthers survive a scare in New Orleans against the Saints to remain unbeaten.

More from Dawg Pound Daily

Oh, and our beloved Cleveland Browns were dismantled at home, 37-3, by the Cincinnati Bengals.

((sigh))

The Dawg Pound Daily staff posted a record of 78-42 with five of our eight writers predicting 10 or more games correctly.

As we embark on the final quarter of the season, here are our week 14 picks and our bold prediction for the Browns game this week!

[table id=24 /]

42. This is a tough call. The 49ers are pretty bad and it’s really a game you’d be looking at the Browns to win, but the 49ers have made a habit of making games ugly and the Browns have shown no ability to grind out games. Unless Johnny Manziel can spark something I think they lose this in a scrappy mess of a game. 49ers 19, Browns 13. (72-40). Previous: 1st. Murray Alexander. 1. team

The San Francisco 49ers have one of the worst offenses in the NFL as they are averaging just 14.8 points per game, the lowest mark in the league. The Browns are countering this week with the return of Johnny Manziel at quarterback. In three of the four games where Manziel has been the primary quarterback, the Browns have scored 10 or fewer points. 49ers 14, Browns 9. (68-44). Previous: 2nd. Thomas Moore. 2. team. 42

Previous: 3rd. Brandon Lambert. 3. team. 53. Some time ago I said I wasn’t going to pick Cleveland again this year to win a game. I guess I lied. This is the only game for the remainder of the season this team has a shot to win. San Francisco simply isn’t that good. Cleveland is worse in my opinion, but Johnny Manziel motivates the team more than Austin Davis and probably more than Josh McCown. If Manziel is going to win one of these final four games, this is the only one he has a shot at. Browns 14, 49ers 10. (64-48)

42. This game is the only one left on the schedule the Browns have a shot to win, but it turns out Blaine Gabbert may not be all that bad. Johnny Manziel will make his return to the field after his punishment, but he cannot save the mess that is this Browns team. The defense is broken and only getting worse. The Browns may keep it close, but they are not good enough to win any more games this season. 49ers 27, Browns 17. (63-49). Previous: t-4th. Steven Kubitza. 4. team

Previous: t-6th. Matthew Stevenson. t-5. team. 42. The Browns start Johnny Manziel once again, yet it’s not enough as the rest of the team is just as unstable as our quarterback situation. 49ers 24, Browns 17. (61-51)

Previous: t-4th. Giovanni Castelli. t-5. team. 53. Johnny Manziel gets the start at home against the 49ers who are playing their second consecutive game on the road, in the Midwest. Eric Mangini’s 49er defense is playing well and he’ll be looking for blood coming back to Cleveland. Johnny is able to make one more play to trump the Man-genius. Browns 20, 49ers 13. (61-51)

Eric Szczepinski. 7. team. 53. Johnny Manziel provides a spark to the Browns offense and leads them on a couple touchdown drives. The Browns find a way to win against another bad team but instead of fans being happy fans will be upset the Browns found a way to try and blow the No. 1 pick in the draft. Browns 20, 49ers 17. (59-53). Previous: t-6th

Roger Cohen. 8. team. 42. As if last week weren’t proof positive, <span class=. (55-57). Previous: 8th
