Johnny Manziel is now dealing with a possible concussion just days after the latest video of him drinking emerged online.
Johnny Manziel may not have a drinking problem, but he has a problem with broadcasting his drinking to the world. He may also have a problem with containing himself during a certain Future song.
When the most recent video of Manziel drinking was discovered, this time it was a delicious Four Loko, some thought his time with the Cleveland Browns was over. He had already been benched for a similar thing just a month ago, and it seemed to be the continuation of a perpetual cycle.
But the difference was that Manziel lied about the last video. He made his friends lie. He basically went into the principal’s office with his parents and lied to all of them when the evidence was too strong to believe his lazy fabrication.
This time around he did not try to lie to the entire organization. He was on his day off and was drinking with friends. Trying to tell someone they can’t have a drink in their own home begins to push the limits of what is acceptable by an organization.

Fans don’t want to see him drinking after he went to rehab less than a year ago, but it is no one’s business at this point. He is a human being who just needs to learn to put the phones away when he is doing something that could put him in a negative light.
This is not to say that Manziel should be partying and drinking every night, but if he does it sporadically on his off days, it is hard to blame him. The problem was when he was out before games or practices, not when he has free time.
While this could have ended his season, Mike Pettine made it clear that Manziel will start this Sunday if healthy.
That’s right, Manziel may not even be ready to play in the game because of a possible concussion. His absence would allow Austin Davis to start in his place, given no catastrophes are thrown his way between now and Sunday.
This is scary news considering Manziel finished the game against the Chiefs with a possible concussion. Getting away from the game for a second, it is never good to know that a player was in the game while concussed. It can have long-lasting or life-ending effects, so let’s hope Manziel is alright.
