Round 5, Pick 129: Steve Longa, OLB, Rutgers

Addressing the outside of the front seven two rounds in a row wouldn’t be the worst play in the world for the Browns. Barkevious Mingo hasn’t lived up to expectations since being taken sixth overall in 2013, Nate Orchard had an alright year but nothing to get overly excited about, and it’s hard to tall what kind of output you’re going to get from Paul Kruger in a given game, much less a given year. Taking Longa here at the very least adds some depth and potential to an edge that desperately needs it.

Round 6, Pick 160: Demarcus Robinson, WR, Florida

On a team like this, you can never have too many receivers. Taking Robinson late will add some depth to this receiving corps, but will also add some size as he stands 6-foot-1 and weighs in at 204 pounds.

Round 7, Pick 193: Derek Watt, FB, Wisconsin

The blood brother of J.J. Watt, who wouldn’t want him on their team. Especially in a situation like Cleveland’s where they want to put an emphasis on running the ball with their two-back attack of Duke Johnson and Isaiah Crowell. A little extra blocking from the backfield never hurt that cause.
