Charles Gaines was drafted by the Browns in the sixth round of the 2015 NFL Draft out of the University of Louisville. Gaines opened the season on the injured reserve/designated to return list with a hamstring injury, and made his debut in November and was active for the final six games.

Gaines struggled when he received playing time due to being far behind from spending a majority of the season on injured reserve.

2016 Outlook:

Gaines will look to compete for playing time with a crowd of young defensive backs and make a jump in his second season.
