Round 5 (Pick No. 129): Kenny Lawler, Wide Receiver, Cal

As a redshirt freshman, Kenny Lawler tied for the team lead with five touchdown catches on just 37 receptions. In 2015, the 6-foot-2, 195-pound Lawler paired up with quarterback Jared Goff to earn a first-team All-Pac-12 selection after catching 52 passes for 658 yards, and 13 touchdowns (ranking in the top 10 nationally). Would obviously be a familiar face for Goff to throw to in Cleveland.

Round 6 (Pick No. 160): Nick Vannett, Tight End, Ohio State

Nick Vannett only had 36 career catches for 423 yards and six touchdowns, but he is coming off a season in which he established personal highs in catches (19), yards (220) and touchdowns (five). With the Browns recently cutting Jim Dray and E.J.Bibbs being a non-factor, this pick is actually a need.

Head coach Hue Jackson prefers tight ends that can catch and run more than a pure blocking guy, and at 6-foot-6 and 260 pounds Vannett fits the bill.

Round 7 (Pick No. 193): Jamal Palmer, Defensive End, Baylor

Jamal Palmer came into the 2015 season as an All-Big 12 defense end despite having his 2014 campaign cut short by injury. He didn’t make it through his final season with Baylor, however, as he tore his ACL during an October game against Texas.

The 6-foot-3, 255-pound Palmer finished his abbreviated season with 14 tackles, 2.5 sacks and three tackles for loss. He’s a talented player, but one who will have to show he can remain healthy to earn a roster spot.
