The Cleveland Browns have roster holes to fill as free agency begins this afternoon. Here is a plan for how the Browns should approach things.

Free agency officially opens today at 4 p.m. when the new league year begins for the NFL and the Cleveland Browns have their work cut out for them to improve the roster.

Head coach Hue Jackson has stated that while the Browns are not going to allow themselves to be pulled into a bidding war for a player, the team would ideally like to add two to three starters to the roster through free agency.

As a former offensive coordinator in Cincinnati, it is reasonable to think that Jackson could receive interest from Bengals players willing to transition to Cleveland to play for Jackson.

As free agency opens, the Browns have needs at quarterback, defensive line and linebacker, and with around $48 million in cap space, the top priority should be resigning their own key free agents on the roster before adding additional talent.
