Barkevious Mingo was supposed to be the next elite pass rusher when the Browns drafted him out of LSU in 2013. It is safe to say that, for a variety of reasons, Mingo hasn’t lived up to the expectations of being the sixth-overall selection. Heading into the draft in Chicago, the Browns are once again looking for a pass rusher.

Kamalei Correa recorded 19 sacks and five forced fumbles over the last two seasons. He earned a second-team All Mountain West selection in 2015 after leading the Broncos with 11 tackles for loss and seven sacks. Surprisingly, Correa recorded even better numbers in his sophomore year when he was named first-team All Mountain West with 12 sacks and 19 tackles for a loss.

Paul Kruger is not a lock to be on the Browns in 2016, so pairing up Correa with Mingo could be a nice duo on defense to start the latest rebuild. Defensive coordinator Ray Horton has already said he is going to use Mingo differently than what he’s been used during his first couple years in the league, and Horton would likely love a tackling machine like Correa to make an impact early.
