Cleveland Browns:

Time for the Cleveland Browns to trade Joe Thomas

"The Cleveland Browns are now on the clock. It’s 2007 and you’re sitting at home watching yet another NFL Draft. For Browns fans, yes it’s the Super Bowl. On the TV, you see NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell walking toward the podium with a draft selection card in his hand. The ESPN draft chime sounds and now you hear Goodell step up to the podium and say, “With the third overall pick in the 2007 NFL Draft, the Cleveland Browns select, Joe Thomas, offensive tackle, Wisconsin.”"

DC’s trash could be Cleveland Browns’ sweet treasure

"I now understand the term “having your phone blow up.” When the Cleveland Browns signed quarterback Robert Griffin III on Thursday, the calls and texts came pouring in. From the halls of Congress, from former work colleagues I’d lost touch with, texts from distant area codes – each one more “I can’t believe the Browns” incredulous than the last."

Is the AFC North worried about RG3 on the Cleveland Browns?

"The Cleveland Browns made headlines on Thursday – and mostly positive ones at that – by singing free agent quarterback Robert Griffin III to a two-year contract. If healthy – a big if – and if he can play near the level he did in 2012 when he was the NFL’s Rookie of the Year – perhaps an even bigger if – Griffin has the opportunity to easily become the most talented and most successful Browns’ quarterback since the team returned to the NFL in 1999."

Cleveland Browns have options with No. 2 pick in the NFL Draft

"The Tennessee Titans are the only team selecting before the Cleveland Browns in the opening round of the 2016 NFL Draft and they’re expected to select the best offensive lineman, Laremy Tunsil, to help protect their franchise quarterback, Marcus Mariota. That means the Browns are expected to be the first team to roll the dice on a playmaker."

Could a quarterback be drafted in 2017 instead? (Factory of Sadness)

"When Hue Jackson became the new head coach of the Cleveland Browns, he expressed his desire to acquire for a new quarterback. The recent signing despite the amount of doubt of Robert Griffin III could be what Jackson spoke about. After all, Jackson did work with Baltimore Ravens’ Joe Flacco and Cincinnati Bengals’Andy Dalton prior to coming to Cleveland."

NFL News:

Three former Raiders pledge brains for research (ESPN)

"Three former Oakland Raiders have promised their brains to the Concussion Legacy Foundation to honor Ken Stabler, whose brain showed degenerative damage after his death in 2015. George Atkinson, George Buehler and Art Thoms told the San Jose Mercury News that they will give their brains after death to the Boston-based research center studying chronic traumatic encephalopathy, the disease being linked to repeated blows to the head."

Denver Broncos: Quietly winning free agency? (Predominantly Orange)

"John Elway has proven that he has the ability to build a Super Bowl champion. You might say bringing in a future Hall of Fame quarterback was the key to winning it all, but was it really? Everyone knows that Super Bowl 50 was won by the defense, so maybe the Broncos are exactly where they need to be again."

Stafford knew NFL was ‘wearing on’ Calvin Johnson (NFL.com)

"When news dropped in January that Calvin Johnson was considering retirement, it hit many like a bombshell. Not Matthew Stafford though. The Detroit Lions quarterback, speaking at a coaching clinic for his alma mater Georgia on Friday, said he could tell Megatron’s football days were numbered."
