The Cleveland Browns met with Temple’s Robby Anderson Tuesday in the continuing search for help at the wide receiver position.

The Cleveland Browns are continuing the widespread search for talent leading up to the 2016 NFL Draft. News of another pre-draft visit was reported Tuesday afternoon.

Anderson finished 2015 with 70 receptions for 939 yards and seven touchdowns. He stands 6-foot-3, and would give the Browns some size in a receiving corps that needs someone with size.

This meeting comes after the Browns have already met with two other wide receivers in  Mississippi’s Laquon Treadwell and Baylor’s Corey Coleman.

Treadwell and Coleman would both be options for picks on Day 1 of the draft, but Anderson is more of a mid-to-late-round option for the Browns.

NFLDraftScout.com has Anderson ranked as the 53rd overall receiver, so he may even slide to the end of the draft, or not be drafted at all.

The Browns’ interest in Anderson may just be minimal, but he does present another option for the team.

He worked out as a defensive back at his Pro Day, and his size could make him much more enticing at that position than as a receiver.

The fact that scouts wanted to see him try a new position may not be great for his prospects as an NFL wide receiver, but it does improve his chances of landing on a roster.

The Browns need to focus time on selecting players who are sure-things at their respective positions, and stay away from anyone who has too many question marks.

Anderson may be a great athlete, but going after Treadwell or Coleman earlier on would be a better option than waiting to take a receiver and going after Anderson.

With the signing of Robert Griffin III, the Browns could focus early round picks on skill players, and draft a quarterback later on. Taking a player like Kevin Hogan in the third or fourth round, while selecting a receiver in the first or second round, may be a better option for the team in 2016.
