The Cleveland Browns need considerable help at wide receiver and Mississippi’s Laquon Treadwell could be the answer come draft night.

As the 2016 NFL Draft approaches, the Cleveland Browns find themselves with a severe need at the wide receiver position. They lost leading receiver Travis Benjamin in free agency and new head coach Hue Jackson has made no secret of his desire to add a No. 1 receiver.

Seeking his own A.J. Green, Jackson will be looking to add a difference maker to the Browns’ wide receivers. With the second and 32nd overall selections in the draft, they are in prime position to do so. It is 11 years since the Browns last selected a wide receiver in the first round, when they took Braylon Edwards, and it may be time to go back to the well.

The Browns’ wide receivers are mostly notable for their height – or lack of it – and the team will be looking to get bigger at the position through the draft. Selecting Laquon Treadwell would add much-needed height and physicality to the offense for 2016.

The University of Mississippi receiver is one of the top prospects at his position in the 2016 Draft and would add a big, sure-handed target for whoever is under center for the Browns in 2016.
