The Browns open up the home schedule in Week 2 against the Baltimore Ravens. The Ravens finished 5-11 last season, but that seems like more of an outlier than anything that will carry over into 2016.

The Browns actually split the two meetings against the Ravens last season, winning 33-30 in an overtime game in Week 5, while losing on a Monday night on a play forever remembered as the “kick six.”

That loss on national television was one of the worst losses in recent NFL history and could serve as a prime example of why a rebuild was needed. A win would have not done much to change the views of the 2015 season, but losing on a returned blocked field goal only adds to the montages of Cleveland misfortune.

This game against the Ravens in 2016 will not only provide the team a chance at redemption after the “kick six” disaster, but it will give the fans a chance to see the new roster in person. Griffin may be making his home debut, along with whoever is selected in the draft by the Browns.

If the team wants to prove that they are better than what the projections say, this game may be the most important of the entire season.
