Report: Cleveland Browns open to trading down from No. 8
"The 2016 NFL Draft is only two days away and the Cleveland Browns currently hold the No. 8 pick. The Browns have already traded down from No. 2 and may be on the move again. The Browns have been linked to Paxton Lynch as a possible player to move down and select, but going after Laquon Treadwell in the first round is a much better option."
The Cleveland Browns should not draft a QB in Round 1
"The Cleveland Browns have a roster filled with holes. Having 12 draft picks in the 2016 NFL Draft will help begin the process of rebuilding the roster. The quarterback position is one that needs improving, but not necessarily in 2016. Josh McCown and Robert Griffin III are the main options at QB right now, but there has been talk of drafting a quarterback Thursday night."
Cleveland Browns: 3 reasons to stay far away from Cardale Jones
"The 2016 NFL Draft is less than two days away and the Cleveland Browns, current holders of 12 selections spread across the draft’s three rounds, are reportedly ready for the new regime’s first draft. With the start of the draft on the horizon we are also that much closer to the end of another tiresome debate, this one centered around the misguided notion that the Browns should use a draft pick on Ohio State quarterback Cardale Jones."
Cleveland Browns: 3 targets for a trade down from No. 8
"When the Cleveland Browns traded out of the No. 2 pick this past week and received a king’s ransom for moving down to No. 9, many fans applauded the move. Executive vice president of football operations Sashi Brown has said the team is not opposed to moving down again, and acquiring even more draft picks to play with."
Could Michigan State QB Connor Cook still be an option? (Factory of Sadness)
"Entering the 2015 college football season, there was a lot of buzz about Connor Cook–the Walsh Jesuit High School product who had made a name for himself quarterbacking Sparty. But then it came out Cook wasn’t named a captain. His leadership was questioned. His stats were good (3,131 yards, 24 TDs, 7 INT), but he didn’t take a step forward from the player we saw in 2014."
History says Browns can find a QB after the first round (cleveland.com)
"I went looking for a quarterback the hard way — below the first round of the NFL Draft. Before starting my search, I wanted to center on recent history. NFL fans know future Hall of Famer Tom Brady was picked in the sixth round. But that was in 2000. Dallas quarterback Tony Romo wasn’t drafted, but that was in 2003."

NFL Draft Rumors: Ezekiel Elliot says Chicago Bears love him (FanSided)
"Ohio State Buckeyes star running back Ezekiel Elliott is largely expected to be the first running back off the board in the 2016 NFL Draft beginning on Thursday night. While some mock drafts have Elliott going as high as No. 4 to the Dallas Cowboys, Elliott said on The Dan Patrick Show on Tuesday that he thinks he is going to the Chicago Bears at No. 11 Thursday night."
Jake Marsing picks Connor Cook for Denver Broncos (Predominantly Orange)
"In Predominantly Orange’s next segment of Mock Drafts from around the Web, I decided to look into Mile High Report’s mock draft done by Jake Marsing. I figure I would share with you all what he selected for the Denver Broncos with the 31st overall pick. In this mock draft, Marsing has decided to stay put and select Connor Cook from Michigan State with the pick."
JaMarcus Russell clinging to NFL comeback dream (NFL.com)
"JaMarcus Russell remains hopeful his NFL career isn’t over. The former quarterback, a notorious draft bust picked first overall by the Oakland Raiders in 2007, said recently he would play for free if it meant a shot at redemption. Russell hasn’t been in the NFL since 2009."
