The Cleveland Browns are not expected to trade down from the No. 32 pick back into the first round.

The Cleveland Browns traded down from No. 8 to select Baylor wide receiver Corey Coleman No. 15 overall.

While Coleman’s selection is still being digested by Browns fans, it was believed the Browns may be thinking of trading down from the No. 32 pick in order to select a quarterback toward the end of the first round.

The thought was that the Browns would trade down and select Paxton Lynch, but it does not appear like the Browns will make that move.

Sashi Brown and company got the player they wanted while acquiring more assets in the trade down from No. 8 with the Tennessee Titans.

If a quarterback is what the Browns want, many can still be found later on in the draft. Acquiring so many draft picks helps build the team, and making a trade would result in having to give up some of those valuable picks, especially for a first round pick.

The No. 32 pick may even be traded down for more picks, according to Sashi Brown.

The pick is a valuable one as it allows a team to take all of Friday to decide on a player, while also fielding trade offers from other teams.

The Browns could move down three or four spots and bring in one or two future picks, losing little in the exchange.

This strategy is one Browns fans are not used to, but this is better than reaching for players. The Coleman selection was safe, and one that fit a No. 15 overall selection.

Friday should be full of trades and surprises, but it is good to know Thursday ended without a terrible pick by the Browns.
