Cleveland Browns Draft Profile: Hunter Henry
The Cleveland Browns may not see tight end as a priority in the draft, but Arkansas’ Hunter Henry could change their minds.
The hours are ticking down until the Cleveland Browns are on the clock in the 2016 NFL Draft and many fans hope that they use the draft to add some offensive firepower for head coach Hue Jackson. Much of the talk has surrounded the wide receivers, but another option could be to add another tight end to the roster.
Gary Barnidge was the breakout star of 2015 and the Browns wisely signed him to a new contract near the end of last season. Beyond Barnidge, there are only a few unproven players, as second-year tight ends E.J. Bibbs and Randall Telfer are unknowns as Bibbs only received a few snaps as a rookie and Telfer was injured for most of 2015.
With Barnidge turning 31 this season, the Browns need someone to take over from him in the future. They could look to Arkansas tight end Hunter Henry to fill this role. As one of the top players at his position in the 2016 NFL Draft, Henry could give the Browns a big target for next season and into the future.
