The Cleveland Browns made 14 selections during the 2016 NFL Draft and Pro Football Focus looks at who was the best and the worst among the picks.

The Cleveland Browns are almost two weeks past the 2016 NFL Draft and their 14 draft picks and 11 undrafted free agents are about to embark on their rookie minicamp.

The minicamp will give head coach Hue Jackson and his coaching staff their first opportunity take a look at the players, even if it is limited to shorts and helmets, and begin determining if they made the right decisions on draft weekend.

Speaking of those draft picks, Pro Football Focus took a look at the draft and selected the best and worst selection made by each of the league’s 32 teams. The analytics-based site used their own pre-draft rankings and Chase Stuart’s Draft Value Chart to make their determinations.

In a bit of a surprise, the site tapped wide receiver Rashard Higgins, a fifth-round selection, over wide receiver Corey Coleman, the Browns’ first-round draft pick, as the team’s best pick:

"Higgins’ production the last two seasons has been obscene. In 2014 he trailed only Tyler Lockett and Amari Cooper in our grading. There are athleticism concerns, but Higgins already knows how to run routes like a veteran wideout. He was one of several values Cleveland landed, including at wide receiver."

Higgins is Colorado State’s all-time leader in receptions (239), receiving yards (3,649) and receiving touchdowns (31). He was a First Team All-Mountain West selection in both 2014 and 2015 after combining for 171 receptions for 2,812 yards and 25 touchdowns.

Receiving the nod as the “worst” draft pick, albeit with a caveat, is wide receiver Ricardo Louis, the fourth-round selection out of Auburn:

"Louis didn’t make our final draft board of the top 250 prospects, which is why he represents the worst value in an otherwise impressive draft haul from Cleveland. That was in part based on him not grading particularly well in Auburn’s run-heavy offense, but Louis actually ranked fourth in the class in yards per route run average (3.51), meaning he offers some upside in the pros if he receives a larger workload."

Of the four wide receivers drafted by the Browns, which includes fifth-round selection Jordan Payton, Louis may have the hardest time making the roster during what is going to be a major storyline in training camp this fall.

“There are some really good players here and they will compete,” Jackson told the team’s website. “And that’s the great thing about pro football — you never know how this is gonna unfold until you give people an opportunity. There are some people here who truly deserve an opportunity. And there are some guys that we drafted that are going to get an opportunity.

“I think we have accomplished that from this draft to go along with the guys we already have here. It’s going to give us a chance to put out the best of the best that we have.”
