The Cleveland Browns have another draft pick under contract after Emmanuel Ogbah has signed his rookie deal.

The Cleveland Browns signed another draft pick on Thursday as second-round selection Emmanuel Ogbah put pen to paper on his rookie contract.

Ogbah signed a four-year deal worth $6.6 million, including a $3 million signing bonus, according to OverTheCap.com. He is the seventh of the team’s 14 draft picks to sign his rookie contract.

The team announced the move on its website.

The Browns selected Ogbah with the first pick of the second round after watching him earn Big 12 Defensive Player honors after posting a conference-high 13 sacks for Oklahoma State.

While Ogbah played defensive end in the Cowboys 4-3 defense, the Browns plan to move the 6-foot-4, 273-pounder to outside linebacker in defensive coordinator Ray Horton‘s 3-4 defense to take advantage of Ogbah’s speed.

It is still very early in the process, but the Browns are liking what they’ve seen so far from Ogbah during Organized Team Activities.

“Not to put an anchor around his neck or a burden on him, but I think collectively we were shocked at his first individual drill at how well he was able to move,” Horton said, according to ohio.com. “You see someone in college do it very little, and in our position drills I think it was a collective smile on the coaches’ faces. He is so much more athletic than what he showed on his tape.

“We knew he could rush, but there is a big difference between rushing and dropping into space. When he figures it out, I don’t think he knows how good he can be.”

The Browns have been down this road before, of course, with Kamerion Wimbley and Barkevious Mingo, and things haven’t worked out so well.
