Cleveland Browns sign WR Ricardo Louis
By Thomas Moore
Cleveland Browns wide receiver Ricardo Louis became the 10th of the team’s 14 draft picks to sign his rookie contract, agreeing to a reported four-year deal.
The Cleveland Browns officially added another draft pick to the fold on Wednesday as wide receiver Ricardo Louis signed his rookie contract.
The deal is reportedly a four-year contract worth $2.9 million, which includes a signing bonus of about $568,000, according to OverTheCap.com. The team announced the signing on its website, along with the signing of fellow fourth-round draft pick Seth DeValve.
The 6-foot-2, 215-pound Louis was Auburn’s leading receiver in 2015, finishing the year with 46 receptions for 716 yards and three touchdowns. In 2014 he was also a threat in the running game for the Tigers, averaging 12.2 yards per carry as Auburn utilized his athleticism, which is something that should be appealing to head coach Hue Jackson.

Because of his versatility, Louis is a player that opposing defenses will have to account for when he is on the field, according to Fly War Eagle:
"Even if you don’t hand it off to him, he’s someone the defense has to game plan for. He’s also a deep threat at any point as he excelled at getting behind the defense at Auburn, and he has that top flight speed that was missing from some of the more highly rated receivers in this draft."

Louis is one of four wide receivers the Browns selected in the 2016 NFL Draft, joining Corey Coleman, Jordan Payton and Rashard Higgins, who are among the 11 players at the position who will enter training camp looking to grab one of what will most likely be just seven roster spots.
“The receivers that came in, we were talking and we are all hungry. We all want to come in and make a huge impact,” Louis told the team’s website during rookie minicamp. “The word around the locker room is that everybody wants to win and everybody’s mindset is focused on getting better and turning this thing around. As a rookie, that is the mindset that we are coming in with so we are going to fit right into the mood that Hue Jackson has put in.”
With Louis and DeValve signing the Browns now have 10 of their 14 draft picks under contract, as they join Coleman, Emmanuel Ogbah, Derrick Kindred, Payton, Spencer Drango, Higgins, Trey Caldwell and Scooby Wright III.
