Cleveland Browns offensive tackle Joe Thomas will end up somewhere in the top-40 of NFL Network’s Top 100 players of 2016.

NFL Network has been revealing the results of its annual Top 100 Players list, which is chosen by the players, but a familiar name has not been announced yet.

Cleveland Browns offensive tackle Joe Thomas has not found out his ranking yet with 40 players still to be named. The next ten names are to be revealed tonight, but will Thomas have to wait another week to hear his name called?

The answer to that is most likely yes. Thomas was in the No. 25 slot last season after being at No. 18 in 2014.

His ability to protect quarterbacks has given him a reputation as the top offensive tackle in football, while also earning him nine straight Pro Bowl selections.

Tonight’s episode reveals players ranked 40-31, but Thomas seems more likely to end up in the 15-25 range. The top ten will feature quarterbacks and other skill players, but there is no reason the league’s best offensive lineman cannot make it all the way to the No. 15 spot.

Thomas was joined on the list by Joe Haden in the past, but Haden does not seem to have any shot to end up in the top-40. Instead, Thomas will be joined by Gary Barnidge, who was revealed at the No. 94 spot.

The fact that players choose the list shows how much respect Thomas has garnered throughout the NFL since his rookie year in 2007. He has never missed a snap in his nine years and has not been a part of a winning team since that rookie season.

His accomplishments and durability make him a prime trade option for a rebuilding team, but the Browns look to be holding on to Thomas for the 2016 season. This is a smart move as his absence from the offensive line may lead to disastrous results for a line already filled with several new faces.

Thomas may not find out his ranking tonight, but that is great news for a player who deserves to be amongst the top-25.

Where do you think Thomas will end up on the list?
