Baltimore Ravens

The Ravens are a team despised by many in the city of Cleveland. Former Browns owner Art Modell moved the old-Browns to Baltimore following the 1995 season, and in 1999 a rivalry was born. It’s safe to say Clevelanders truly hate the Ravens. Most will rank the Ravens and Steelers one and two on the list of most hated teams.

The tie to Cleveland has been the biggest fuel to the fire of this rivalry. The Modell factor is one Browns fans will never relinquish as their fuel of hatred for the Ravens. Besides that, the Ravens have taken the Browns to school since their rebirth in 1999 posting a 25-9 record against them. The Ravens and quarterback Joe Flacco have also had endless success against the Browns since Flacco’s taken over the helm at QB.

Again, the fans hatred for the Ravens is what has made this a rivalry since 1999 along with the history and the move that ties these two franchises together forever. The play on the gridiron has been lopsided as the Ravens have historically fattened up on the Browns each season leaving the rivalry with really little substance outside of the move that changed the outlook of both franchises.
