By Thomas Moore
Spanning the virtual globe to bring you the latest news about the Cleveland Browns and the NFL – these are your Daily Dawg Tags for Monday, Aug. 15.
The Cleveland Browns begin preparing today for their second preseason friendly, when they take on the Atlanta Falcons on Thursday night at FirstEnergy Stadium.
The Browns are a bit roughed up at the wide receiver position after the opener against the Green Bay Packers. The team lost wide receiver Rannell Hill to a season-ending broken leg, Terrelle Pryor injured his hand and, on Sunday, Ricardo Louis joined Corey Coleman and Andrew Hawkins among the group dealing with hamstring issues.
“Everybody has a number of guys that are banged up. That’s just training camp,” head coach Hue Jackson said on Sunday. “That’s just the way it goes. We talked about it as a team today. No one is going to feel sorry for us because we have a few guys down. That’s the National Football League this time of year.
“You hate it, but we need to fight through it because it could be the way the season goes.”
While the Browns get ready for the Falcons, take a few moments to get caught up on all the news surrounding Cleveland and the NFL.
