Cleveland Browns: 4 players with the most to gain against Tampa Bay
The Cleveland Browns will face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the third preseason game. Here are four players to watch during tonight’s game.
Tonight will mark the most important preseason game of the year for the Cleveland Browns.
The third preseason game is usually what teams refer to as the tune-up game. Head coaches usually play their starters into the third quarter to allow them to make necessary halftime adjustments and see how they respond in the second half.

In the case of the Browns and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the two teams had a joint practice and scrimmage together this week, so both teams should be familiar with each other once they hit the field at Raymond James Stadium. The joint practices were beneficial for both teams to adequately establish a solid game plan for the dress rehearsal game.
“It’s just great to go against another team. It’s a different type of intensity and a different type of focus in my opinion,” head coach Hue Jackson said. “It’s just good to do something different, and it’s just another growing opportunity for our football team.”
Tonight will mark one of the last opportunity’s for players to secure they’re starting spots and key roles for the regular season. Generally third stringers and bubble players fighting for the last roster spots play solely in the final preseason game, so tonight will be key for many players that haven’t officially locked up they’re starting positions.
The following players will have the most to gain with their performance tonight against the Buccaneers.
