Cleveland Browns vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: TV, radio info
By Thomas Moore
The Cleveland Browns hit the road for an exhibition game tonight against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Here is how you can watch or listen to the game.
The Cleveland Browns will face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers tonight in the most important game of the preseason.
The third preseason friendly has always been considered a “dress rehearsal” for the regular season and provides the starters with their final opportunity to work against another team before the regular season begins.
On offense, that means Browns fans should finally see wide receiver Josh Gordon and Corey Coleman on the field together for the first time. For Coleman it will be his first action since the team’s scrimmage; for Gordon it would represent his first game since the end of the 2014 season.
On defense, the game will represent an opportunity for defensive coordinator Ray Horton to stop tinkering with the lineup and start making some hard decisions on who will claim a starting role. It is a big opportunity for cornerback Jamar Taylor, who has been taking first-team reps this week as he looks to unseat incumbent starter Tramon Williams.
“Normally in general, we play a little longer. I need to see what the health of our team is first and foremost, and then we’ll make that decision,” head coach Hue Jackson said of his plan for tonight. “I’d like to see them play longer because everybody says the third game might be the last time that the starters play. I don’t know that for sure. I haven’t made that decision, but we’ll continue to work at it and get our team ready to go.”
