The Cleveland Browns will have their starters on the field for at least part of tonight’s final preseason game against the Chicago Bears.

The Cleveland Browns will close out the preseason tonight when they host the Chicago Bears at FirstEnergy Stadium

The Browns are 0-3 on the preseason, not a big deal, but have played so poorly that head coach Hue Jackson feels compelled to play the starters for at least part of tonight’s game.

More from Dawg Pound Daily

“As I’ve said since Day 1, our head is down. We are just working,” Jackson said. “Hopefully, we will trot out a team that we feel very comfortable with and go play well. My job as the head coach is to make sure that we are in the best position to win offensively, defensively and special teams. If that means we have to keep doing that until we can make it right, then that’s what we’ll do.

“I’m very comfortable with where we are. I know what we are doing and how we’re doing it. I know what it may appear to look like, but I’m not concerned about that. I’m concerned about this team getting better over the course of this week and as we head into the regular season.”

Normally the final preseason game is one that only the most diehard fan pays attention to, but with the starters being on the field tonight, and several position and roster battles still to be determined, the game may be more of a must see that usual.
