Cleveland Browns: Top 5 QBs to fill RG3’s void on roster
It didn’t take long for the Cleveland Browns to lose their starting QB to an injury. Which free agents should Cleveland consider signing to fill the void?
The Cleveland Browns’ quarterback situation is once again in disarray. Near the end of an awful performance in Sunday’s opener against the Philadelphia Eagles, Cleveland starting quarterback Robert Griffin III suffered a non-throwing shoulder injury which will keep him out for a good chunk of the 2016 season.

Griffin was placed on injured reserve, meaning that he will be out for an extended period of time. As the Browns move forward, they will look to 37-year-old Josh McCown to take the snaps on offense. While McCown is no stranger to the role, and the Browns kept McCown for this very circumstance, the situation is clearly far from ideal.
Also, since the Browns will now have just two quarterbacks on the roster for an extended period of time, they will need to search for a free agent to sign in the near future if they can not work out a trade.
Fortunately, the Browns have several decent options, at least as far as third-string quarterbacks go. Five quarterbacks the Browns should consider signing giving a chance, ranked from fifth to first, are as follows.
