In Week 1 against Philadelphia, Haden had poor technique in man coverage and was burnt deep on a long touchdown by Nelson Agholor. This week, Joe Haden returned to his Pro Bowl form and had two interceptions to lead the Browns’ secondary.

Midway through the third quarter the Browns hung on to a one-point lead. The Baltimore offense had the ball in Browns territory and took a deep shot on first-and-10.  Similar to how the Browns scored with Coleman, the Ravens offense uses a trips receiver set on the left side and isolates speedster Breshad Perrmian to the right on Haden.

Haden has inside alignment and is forcing Perrmian to the outside. On the snap Perriman runs a fade route down the right sideline. Haden is in great position on the route as he is trailing Perrmian’s back hip perfectly. At the point of attack, Haden has positioning over Perrmian as the ball is thrown toward the inside. Haden attacks the ball at its highest point and secures his second interception of the game.

The defensive stop was huge, as Baltimore was driving and taking a chance at blowing the game open with a big touchdown score.
