The Cleveland Browns’ 2017 opponents have been announced, giving fans some hope that the team can be better than 1-15 in 2017.

After a miserable season, the focus surrounding the Cleveland Browns is all about the 2017 NFL Draft. It is hard to even think about a game after the 1-15 season, but fans now know who the opponents will be next season.

In addition to the AFC North, the Browns will be taking on the NFC North and the AFC South. There are also games against the New York Jets and San Diego Chargers, who are both becoming familiar opponents for the Browns.

While it is too early to speculate anything about the 2017 season, it would be unlike Browns fans to not at least casually look at some games that could be potential wins next season.

The two main ones that jump out are the games against the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Chicago Bears. Both teams finished with three wins, although those three look great compared to the Browns’ one win.

There is also the game against the New York Jets, although that team is so unpredictable, it is tough to tell what their record will be any given season.

It is hard to say that these opponents inspire any confidence of the Browns winning eight or nine games, as we all know that is just not likely in the second year of this rebuilding process. But this list does provide some hope the team will at least do better than 1-15 in 2017.

Whether that means 2-14 or 6-10 is unknown, but it is hard to imagine the Browns not being able to win more than one game against that schedule. Then again, it was hard to imagine a 1-15 record this year.

The most notable part of the schedule is the game against the Minnesota Vikings, which will take place in London. It is considered one of the home games, meaning the team will only play seven regular season games at FirstEnergy Stadium next season. This may upset some diehards who have never missed a game, but it will save people some money in what could be another tough season. The Browns have also avoided playing in London for a long time, so it is the team’s turn to make the trip.

The focus will continue to be on the Draft for the next few months, but at least fans have an idea of who the new players will be facing in 2017. The home game against Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers should be a fun time.
