Some Cleveland Browns fans worry when the team is absent from certain Pro Days, but it is nothing to get worked up about.

Cleveland Browns fans are a lively bunch, and that continues to be true as NFL Draft prospects continue to hold their Pro Days.

Hue Jackson and Sashi Brown were noticeably absent from Mitch Trubisky’s Pro Day on Tuesday, and didn’t make an appearance to see Deshaun Watson when he showed off his skills for scouts.

Some people were upset. There is no need to feel that way.

Pro Days are scripted workouts that take place after the NFL Combine, and potentially before the team gets the chance to have a private workout with a player.

If anything, the private workout is the most important of all these events, as it allows the team to get a full day with a player, getting to work with him and learn about him on a personal level. When drafting a player, especially a quarterback, these private meetings are crucial.

Part of the reason fans seem to get worked up is because Pro Days are advertised as a showcase, but the nature of these events don’t help a team learn much. Also, the Browns sent scouts to see Trubisky so it is not like the event is boycotted entirely.

Browns fans will always find something to consider a problem, and it is the beauty of cheering for and following the team. Let’s take a look at all this Pro Day talk and more in today’s edition of the Daily Dawg Tags.
