The NFL Draft continues to approach and the storylines surrounding the Cleveland Browns continue to intensify with each passing day.

The 2017 NFL Draft is still over a week away, and the Cleveland Browns are still attaching some mystery to the No. 1 overall pick.

To be more specific, fans are using the fact the Browns haven’t declared Myles Garrett to be the No. 1 overall pick as a reason to speculate on whether he is the clear top pick. Rumors of Mitch Trubisky still being in play at the top pick have circulated, but this time of year always provides fans with countless rumors that often don’t come to fruition.

There is nothing wrong with being aware of the rumors, but it is not wise to buy into all of them as truth. Teams put out rumors, or smokescreens, to advance their own agendas, while some sources are not always the most valuable.

This is not to say some rumors may not come true, but it would be a total shock if Garrett wasn’t taken with the No. 1 pick. The Browns don’t have a great reputation when it comes to drafting, but this new group in charge seems to value talent over reaching, and Garrett enters as the top player in the draft class. Passing on him wouldn’t make logical sense.

Fans are hoping the Browns don’t follow the rumors, so let’s take a look at that and more in today’s edition of the Daily Dawg Tags.
