NFL to release Cleveland Browns schedule on Thursday
By Thomas Moore
The Cleveland Browns and their fans will learn the dates of times of their 2017 games when the NFL releases the full schedule on Thursday night.
The NFL will release the complete 2017 regular season schedule on Thursday, during a two-hour special on the NFL Network beginning at 8 p.m.
The league announced the news on its website.
While we have known who the Cleveland Browns will play this season since January, Thursday night we will learn the days and times of the games.
The road schedule is not particularly exciting this season, but there are a few particular games that might have an extra bit of spice to them. In addition to visiting the Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals and Pittsburgh Steelers, the Browns will go on the road to face the Houston Texans for a potential Brock Osweiler revenge game, the Indianapolis Colts, the Chicago Bears, the Detroit Lions and the Los Angeles Chargers.

It is possible, although unlikely, that the Browns could visit Los Angeles for the Chargers home opener in their temporary home at the 30,000-seat StubHub Center in Carson, Calif.
Having the Chargers make their debut against a team that went 1-15 a year ago is not really a marquee event, but the NFL may look at it as an opportunity to hand the Chargers an easy win in their first home game.
As for the home schedule, in addition to the division rivals the Browns will host the Jacksonville Jaguars and Tennessee Titans, the fourth consecutive year the Browns will face the Titans); the Green Bay Packers, making just their second trip to Cleveland since 1995; and the New York Jets, who may come to town with shiny new quarterback Mitchell Trubisky.
The Browns may also find out the date and time of their “home game” against the Minnesota Vikings at London’s Twickenham Stadium, one of four games the league will hold in London.
Speaking of London, nose tackle Danny Shelton talked about his experience visiting the city during a media session today at team headquarters, according to the Browns website:
"“I did not get to go to the stadium, but I got to hang around the London fans and the Scotland fans. It was awesome. I just know that they are really hyped about the games. It was kind of a culture shock for me; I did not think they knew that much about football or were such die-hard fans. The UK is no joke.”"
The only other items of note to look for are if the Browns receive any primetime appearances and the date of the home game against the Steelers – which will give the fans their first opportunity to see defensive end Myles Garrett stuff Pittsburgh quarterback Ben Roethlisberger into the turf.
