The Cleveland Browns are less than 100 days away from the start of the regular season and there is still a lot of work to be done.

The Cleveland Browns are just 97 days away from their first game of the 2017 regular season.

Between now and then there is still a lot of work to do.

The team needs to settle on a starting quarterback and right tackle, work out the numbers at wide receiver, and figure out how all the parts are going to fit in defensive coordinator Gregg Williams’ system.

Cleveland will continue the process this week with the final set of Organized Team Activities, which will be followed by the mandatory three-day minicamp starting on June 13. That leads up to  the opening of training camp in late July and the first preseason friendly on Aug. 10 against the New Orleans Saints.

A little less than 100 days until the Browns are back in action.

It can’t get here soon enough.

NFL news:

As NFL defenses shrink, look for offenses to go big (The Ringer)

"NFL defenses are prioritizing speed over size. This season, look for offenses to counter by beefing up."

Potential landing spots for Jeremy Maclin (NFL.com)

"Now that we’ve had time to digest Kansas City’s Friday evening release of Jeremy Maclin, it’s time to project where the veteran could be headed. At 29 years old, one would think he’s got at least a couple more years of effective football left in him. As we detailed Friday, his stats did see a dropoff in 2016, but Maclin missed four games and was battling for targets. It’s not outrageous to expect his numbers to rise in 2017, given he’s placed in the right situation."

Every NFL team’s undrafted free agent most likely to make the roster (Bleacher Report)

"The life of an undrafted free agent is an uphill climb. However, it is possible to rise from UDFA to NFL starter or even superstar. Now, it’s incredibly premature to start fitting the players listed here for gold jackets or large gaudy rings. But these undrafted free agents have a better-than-average chance of accomplishing the first goal they all seek."

Dennis Pitta’s injury rips another weapon from Joe Flacco (ESPN)

"The Baltimore Ravens wanted to build a stronger supporting cast around their franchise quarterback this offseason. Tight end Dennis Pitta’s hip injury underscored how much the Ravens have fallen short of that objective."
