Cleveland Browns fans will find their favorite team at the bottom of most power rankings, regardless of the subject matter, until winning becomes the norm.

NFL writers love to put out countless different types of power rankings every offseason. Such is the nature of such a long period of time without football.

But no matter the subject matter, Cleveland Browns fans won’t find much optimism in these power rankings, no matter the subject.

Browns fans know this team will remain a perpetual underdog until proving otherwise, and that is just fine. With so much turnover since 1999, all we can do as fans is hope that the young group on the field in 2017 can lay a foundation for a bright future.

Some who claim to be “realists” will tell you that the team is just going to continue on the same path it has been on for two decades, but there is no point in even watching the games if you hold that belief. Just sounds too stressful and not remotely fun at all.

Browns fans who keep a sense of optimism can use the power rankings that feature the Browns at or near the bottom as motivation and a badge of pride for whenever the team does turn things around. It will happen eventually, and those who waited around for it to happen will be glad they did so.

We take a look at some power rankings and more in today’s edition of the Daily Dawg Tags.
