2. Houston Texans, Week 6

The Browns typically only play the Texans only once every three seasons, and Houston never seems to be dominant. This season, they’re expected to be contenders once again, but once again, not necessarily dominant.

The Browns don’t have a historically bad record against the Texans either. But traveling to Houston to play this intimidating defense? The thought alone will make fans tremble.

NRG Stadium has a whole lot of exactly that. Energy. Texans fans never relent, no matter how far ahead they are or how weak their opponent’s record is coming in.

Houston fans never take any game for granted, which is really unfortunate for teams coming to their place trying to play spoiler.

The players feed off of the energy their fans provide, especially their defense. J.J. Watt and Jadeveon Clowney can single-handedly take over games, covering for the team’s clear lack of talent and efficiency at the quarterback position.

The Browns haven’t had much experience indoors over the past few seasons. Their last shot was in St. Louis in 2015, a game which they matched up well against the struggling Rams, but lost 24-6.

Yes, that was two seasons ago, and circumstances were completely different. But with a long trip to Houston looming, Cleveland’s tendency to play in outdoor stadiums only certainly won’t help.

71,795 fans will be screaming for 60 minutes in Week 6 this season. With the roof on the stadium, the sound will be trapped and the Browns will be given all they can handle.
