Cleveland Browns: No surprise with highest-graded player since 2013
The Cleveland Browns haven’t won many games the past four years, but one player has remained a consistent force on the field throughout it all.
The Cleveland Browns are set to begin another season this Thursday when training camp gets underway in Berea. Are you excited?
We are in for yet another quarterback competition, but among all the confusion is one of the best players in franchise history.
Joe Thomas will be gearing up for his eleventh season with the Browns, coming off his tenth consecutive Pro Bowl selection and his seventh All-Pro season. Thomas’ dominance is not often reflected on the field because of how bad this team has been since he arrived, but a recent tweet from Pro Football Focus shows why he is so valuable.

It is no surprise that Thomas is so highly-graded, but it just rubs in how unfortunate it is that this offense hasn’t had much success with such a legendary talent at left tackle.
Thomas is one of the main reasons this team has had any semblance of success on offense over the past decade, as the quarterbacks wouldn’t have stood a chance if there was a revolving door at left tackle.
Eleven seasons are a lot for a NFL offensive lineman, but Thomas has shown no signs of declining.

The hope is he will be here when this team becomes great again, but for now fans can just appreciate seeing one of the best to ever play the position be so loyal to the city of Cleveland. This is quite nice when other star athletes in town are demanding to leave.
