The Cleveland Browns are playing in a rare primetime game tonight in Week 2 of the preseason against the New York Giants.

The Cleveland Browns will be on televisions all over the country tonight as they take on the New York Giants on a preseason edition of Monday Night Football.

It may only be the preseason, but it is nice to see this Browns team on a national stage. Let’s just hope it goes better than the last time the team played on a Monday night.

This game against the Giants begins a stretch in which the Browns play three games in 11 days, so strap in for some passionate play from those looking to earn one of those final 53 roster spots.

There are competitions to keep track of all over the roster, but fans will remain focused on the one at quarterback. While Brock Osweiler seems set to be the Week 1 starter, DeShone Kizer could always seize that title if Osweiler really disappoints from now until the final preseason game next Thursday.

Cody Kessler also has a shot if the other two disappoint, although his chances are getting slimmer with each passing day.

Primetime football is fun even in August, and a game against the Giants will give this Browns team a chance to see how they stack up against a true contender. We take a look at that and more in today’s Daily Dawg Tags.
