Cleveland Browns fans get to enjoy a peaceful Labor Day before looking ahead to the start of another unpredictable season.

Cleveland Browns fans are given a treat today, as the final Monday before the season falls on a holiday. Next Monday may not be as relaxing.

The NFL season gets underway this Thursday, when the New England Patriots take on the Kansas City Chiefs. Browns fans who play fantasy football may keep an eye on this game, but the attention will quickly be shifted toward Sunday.

A Browns and Steelers Week 1 matchup already has enough intrigue, but add in Joe Haden in a Steelers uniform and there is a whole new layer added to the lopsided rivalry.

Browns fans believe in Sashi and Hue, so this opening game will give fans a great gauge of how close or far away this team is to being a contender. That is a lot of pressure to put on a rookie quarterback, but Hue Jackson went with DeShone Kizer for a reason.

No matter how this first game goes, it will just be nice to have Browns football back and football back in general. Hopes are always the highest before the season actually begins, but fans remain loyal and tune in throughout the season, even if they stop going to the stadium.

We are less than a week away, so let’s take a look at the latest news surrounding the Browns and the rest of the NFL in today’s edition of the Daily Dawg Tags.
