There are plenty of storylines to cover as we look ahead to Sunday’s matchup between the Cleveland Browns and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

There will come a day, I hope, when the Cleveland Browns are so good that there aren’t countless concerning storylines that accompany a Week 1 game.

A day when one of the most notable players in post-1999 team history didn’t sign with the Week 1 opponent and when the starting quarterback isn’t a rookie who didn’t win the job until the end of training camp.

But hey, we certainly aren’t complaining.

For the first time in a long time, a Browns team enters a season with a legitimate plan in place by the front office to get better. All the storylines being discussed also seem to omit the fact the team drafted a defensive star in Myles Garrett, while the new rookie safety/returner isn’t too bad either.

The plan obviously has to pan out, but at least there are legitimate reasons to be excited instead of praying that RG3 will play like his old self. 2016 was really rough now that I think about it.

Wins remain the most important thing of all, and the Browns can shock their fans and the NFL world by taking down the mighty Pittsburgh Steelers this Sunday. Some may call it wishful thinking, but this team is much better than last year.

We take a look at Sunday’s game and other news from around the NFL in today’s edition of the Daily Dawg Tags.
