Daily Dawg Tags: Browns trying to stay positive
By Thomas Moore
The Cleveland Browns are trying to stay positive in the wake of a disappointing start to the season as they struggle to find that first win.
Another season and another rough start for the Cleveland Browns.
Losing the first two weeks to the Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens was not unexpected, but falling behind 28-7 and ultimately losing to the previously winless Indianapolis Colts was something altogether different.
The Browns face another winless team this Sunday in the Cincinnati Bengals, followed by the New York Jets and Houston Texans, who are both sitting at just one win each on the season.
If there was ever a time to put something together, the next three weeks would be a great time to start. To do that, the team needs to just start putting it all together, quarterback DeShone Kizer told clevelandbrowns.com:
"“You go back and you watch the film and you go back and evaluate where you are and we are right where we want to be. We just don’t have the Ws to support it. We are driving the ball down the field. We know on offense if we take away one simple thing – that is turnovers – we are the offense we want to be. On defense, if we go out and stop the playmakers on the other offense, we are going to be a great defense. Everything is right there. We have the talent. We have the players. We have the mentality. It is just about going out and making sure we are executing from the first snap to the last snap of the game.”"
Starting off the season at 0-3 is not ideal, but is also not all that unexpected.
But if 0-3 turns into 1-5 or 0-6, the sense of panic and dread enveloping the team will be hard to deal with.
