The Cleveland Browns are facing off against the Los Angeles Chargers in search of that first victory, and will be featuring Josh Gordon in his return.

The Cleveland Browns are still in search of win number one in 2017, but fans have a special reason to watch today’s game.

Josh Gordon is back for the first time since 2014 and could be the ultimate difference in the game. Or so I hope.

Gordon is active and starting, sending Bryce Treggs to today’s inactive list.

Treggs may also be there after his taunting penalty a week ago, but it doesn’t really matter because Gordon will be targeted all day.

Kevin Hogan remains inactive which means Cody Kessler is the backup once again, which is something that could be important is DeShone Kizer goes down. But if that happens, hope of a win is all but lost.

Be sure to comment on this post throughout today’s game to chat with other Browns fans who are brave enough to carry even the tiniest sense of optimism into this game. 0-11 is brutal, but we all keep tuning in.

Gordon being back is enough for people all over the country to watch and his performance will be the main story of the game, whether he does good or bad. He may not even be the same receiver he was when he played for the team a few years ago, but that won’t stop people like me from claiming he is set for a 200-yard game.

Next: 3 keys to victory over the Chargers

I’m not brave enough to pick the Browns in this one, yet the sight of those Chargers jerseys brings back fond memories from 2016. Maybe the magic will be back this afternoon.
