Super Bowl 52 will take place Sunday between the New England Patriots and Philadelphia Eagles. Here is everything you need to know about the game.

Super Bowl 52 will take place this evening in Minneapolis as the New England Patriots take on the Philadelphia Eagles.

While the Cleveland Browns will not be playing today, naturally, there are still several storylines for fans to pay attention to during the game.

Can New England head coach Bill Belichick and quarterback Tom Brady win their sixth Super Bowl together? If so it will be a record for the Super Bowl era, but let’s stop pretending that the NFL did not exist prior to the Super Bowl.

Belichick and Brady have a chance to break a tie with Green Bay Packers head coach Vince Lombardi and quarterback Bart Starr’s five NFL titles. Even with a win in today’s game, Belichick and Brady will still trail the seven titles won by Cleveland head coach Paul Brown and quarterback Otto Graham.

There are also several connections between the Browns and the teams who will be taking the field at U.S. Bank Stadium:

  • Belichick was the Browns head coach from 1991 through 1995 before he was fired by Baltimore Ravens owner Art Modell.
  • Eagles head coach Doug Pederson spent 11 games with the Browns in 2000, making eight starts at quarterback. His lone win in a Browns uniform came against none other than Belichick and the Patriots on Nov. 12 of that year.
  • Eagles quarterbacks coach John DeFilippo spent the 2015 season as offensive coordinator for the Browns
  • Eagles defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz was part of Belichick’s staff in Cleveland.
  • On the Patriots roster are former Browns players Brian Hoyer, Dion Lewis, Kenny Britt and Johnson Bademosi.
  • Finally, while he never played for the Browns, Philadelphia quarterback Carson Wentz and his non-elite ACL will always be linked to the team after the Eagles selected him with a draft pick acquired in a trade with the Browns.

On that happy note, here is how to watch or listen to today’s game:
