Cleveland Browns: 7-Round Mock Draft brings a new quarterback
By Randy Gurzi
Round 2: Tyrell Crosby, OT, Oregon
If Joe Thomas returns this becomes a pick looking toward the future. However, the greatest offensive lineman in team history is still reportedly undecided on his future following a triceps tear in October. It was the first time the third overall pick in 2003 would miss a single snap in his illustrious career.

Thomas has made several remarks that he would like to be there when the Browns finally turn it around, and we can forgive him if he feels like they’re too far away. However, it seems like they could make some moves this offseason to get closer and it would be wonderful to see the big guy lace it up for one more season.
Whether or not he does, a pick on an offensive tackle here makes plenty of sense — especially Tyrell Crosby. His strength is off the charts as the 6-5, 310-pound tackle showed off that feature in his game at every turn for the Ducks.
What he didn’t show was a ton of athleticism. That could also be because he didn’t have to. Oregon uses a spread offense, which limited the exposure the left tackle had on the field to speed rushers as the ball was out quickly.
Even so, he has the arsenal at his disposal to work with and the Browns staff would be more than happy to get a player that can be a bookend for years.
