Round 4: Jalyn Holmes, DE, Ohio State

In the fourth round, the Browns continue to look for players who will add depth. This time they stay in-state and look at defensive end Jalyn Holmes from Ohio State. The Buckeyes edge rusher has excellent size at 6-5 and 270-pounds. However, he didn’t see the field a lot as OSU had a great defensive line.

Holmes did start to show up some at the senior bowl though. That could bump his stock up a little, but the Browns hope to find him there with their first of two picks in this round. He offers some great depth behind Myles Garrett and Emmanuel Ogbah and could even slide inside on third downs occasionally thanks to his size.

Round 4 (via Carolina): Steven Richardson, DT, Minnesota

Cleveland sticks with the reserve defensive linemen in Round 4 as they take Steven Richardson out of Minnesota. The 292-pound defensive tackle missed some time in 2017, but really broke out the season before for the Gophers.

Richardson had 31 tackles and seven sacks while playing for the Big Ten program in 2016. He won’t be a threat to start for the Browns, but again offers some depth inside that could help them become a better all-around team.
