Round 1 No. 4 — Minkah Fitzpatrick, FS, Alabama

On the last mock draft we put out, the Cleveland Browns picked Alabama safety Minkah Fitzpatrick at No. 4 overall. The only reason that should change would be if someone selects him with the second or third pick. With Cleveland leaving all the quarterbacks on the board by taking Barkley, that’s highly unlikely.

With that being the case, they go ahead and get the best defensive back in the 2018 NFL Draft here and they will be more than happy with the selection. The addition of Fitzpatrick will make everyone in the secondary look better thanks to his play.

He’s on par with LSU safety Jamal Adams — who went to the New York Jets last draft — even if he doesn’t bring the same attitude and confidence, at least according to one NFL executive.

"“He’s not quite on the same level of Jamal Adams when it comes to changing the entire culture of a locker room, but he is just as talented and probably more versatile.” – Unnamed AFC team executive according to NFL.com"

Fitzpatrick also has a love for the game according to coaches. That’s not always true of guys who are simply gifted at it, but his desire coupled with his sensational skill will make him a perennial Pro Bowl player.
