Daily Dawg Tags: Cleveland Browns are closer to one big free agent
By Randy Gurzi
The Daily Dawg Tags brings you all the daily news you need in order to keep up with your Cleveland Browns as well as the rest of the NFL
The NFL news cycle picked up just a little bit this past Friday, and some of it could wind up impacting the Cleveland Browns. That piece of news was the fact that the Kansas City Chiefs agreed to trade star cornerback Marcus Peters to the Los Angeles Rams.
With Peters in town, the Rams are all but out on free agent to be Trumaine Johnson. The Browns could potentially be a landing spot for him as they have a huge need at corner, a ton of money to spend and Johnson’s former defensive coordinator Gregg Williams. There’s been no real rumors linking the player and the team, but it isn’t too far fetched of an idea.
The other bit of news was the awarding of compensatory picks for the 2018 NFL Draft. That had no impact on the Browns though, as they stayed with 12 picks as they weren’t awarded any extra selections.

That’s not the worst news as Cleveland still owns six picks in the first 65 selections, so they’re loaded with ammunition to make some moves.
