Cleveland Browns: Buffalo Bills have called about No. 1 pick
By Randy Gurzi
With a couple of picks in the first round at their disposal, the Buffalo Bills have reportedly called the Cleveland Browns about the No. 1 overall selection
The one thing all Cleveland Browns fans need to fear in the 2018 NFL Draft is the dreaded trade-down. The Browns have been kicking the can down the road for years in regards to their draft picks, and now armed with the No. 1 and No. 4 overall picks, they can finally cash those tickets in and land two premium play makers.
Or they can screw it all up by trading back and drafting later in the first round. That would be the worst move at this point as Cleveland owns not just the two top-four picks, but also three in the second round.
Simply put, the time for trading down is past, and this needs to be the year they focus on quality rather than quantity. However, they still seem to be willing to listen to offers for the No. 1 overall pick.
According to Cleveland reporter Daryl Ruiter, the Buffalo Bills contacted the Browns and asked what it would take to get that coveted spot.
This is in addition to the Jets trying at one point to see what the Browns would want in exchange — although they may not have liked the answer as they wound up moving on to the Indianapolis Colts and getting their third overall selection.

Here’s to hoping general manager John Dorsey gave an answer to the Bills that they also disapproved of. Cleveland has a shot to find their franchise quarterback this year, and they need to do exactly that.
