A potential Cleveland Browns free agency target continues his tour as wide receiver Terrelle Pryor is set to visit the New York Jets

There has been some rumored interest between both the Cleveland Browns and free agent wide receiver Terrelle Pryor. The former quarterback-turned-receiver had a breakout season for Cleveland in 2016, then cashed in on a one-year deal with the Washington Redskins.

His production slipped drastically with Washington and before long, Pryor was riding the pine. Even with his dismal season, there has been a market for the 6-4, 230-pounder.

Many of the rumors originally had him landing back in Cleveland where he had 77 receptions for 1,007 yards in his only full season at his new position. The two sides haven’t come together yet, and it may never happen as Pryor is making the rounds in free agency.

According to a tweet from Cleveland reporter Mary Kay Cabot, Pryor is heading east to visit the New York Jets, after already visiting the Seattle Seahawks.

Both those franchises are much more “needy” at the wide receiver position. That’s not the norm for the Browns, but their 2018 roster looks formidable at the position finally. Josh Gordon returned to the lineup late in 2017 after years of suspensions and joins the speedy Corey Coleman — although his status seems to always be up in the air due to injuries.

They then added Jarvis Landry, the coveted slot receiver from the Miami Dolphins. He led the NFL in receptions last season, but was under nine-yards per reception which means he’s simply a possession guy — albeit a good one.

Even with those guys, adding a tall receiver like Pryor who can get down the field and win contested passes would have been a plus. That’s looking less than likely now as he continues to draw attention for his services.
