The Cleveland Browns have a toxic person in their organization that passes blame and is not held accountable, sadly it’s their head coach Hue Jackson

There’s a lot of blame to be passed around when it comes to the Cleveland Browns and their 1-31 record over the past two seasons. Well, as long as none of it gets passed to head coach Hue Jackson that is.

Since arriving in Cleveland, Jackson has been quick to throw anyone under the bus while never taking responsibility for his own shortcomings. He has a toxic attitude which includes pointing fingers at others while self-praising whenever anyone will listen.

One example that shows he’s a bad leader was how he called out running back Isaiah Crowell for all to hear. After Crowell ran a 59-yard touchdown, Jackson decided it would be best to tell the world that his running back was nothing special and that anyone could have run through the hole made by the offensive line. Way to endear your players Hue.

Don’t worry, he wasn’t done telling us just how bad his players were with that low blow. In arguably the dumbest statement ever made — in the history of the world even — Jackson claimed no one else could have done what he did in going 1-31 in two seasons with the Browns.

More from Dawg Pound Daily

"“I don’t think anybody else could’ve did this job,” Jackson said in a press conference via Tom Schad of USA Today. “I don’t think anybody else could’ve stayed in this job for two years and been 1-31. A lot of coaches would’ve said ‘uncle’ after last year. I know that. I think you guys do, too. I think a lot of coaches during this year would’ve said, ‘Forget it.’"

Wow Hue. After now becoming an amazingly awful 9-39 in your coaching career you’re the coach everyone should aspire to be? Well, we could have tried to give him some credit as he attempted to explain away that dumb statement, but now he’s back at it again.

"“There will be a cleansing of this organization, and it’s going to be because of the players that we’ve added on this team,” Jackson said Tuesday at the NFL owners meetings according to Jamison Hensley of ESPN. “It’s going to be because of the new mindset of the players that are returning to this team.”"

Of course missing from this statement was the cleansing of the organization by taking play calling duties from Jackson and giving them to Todd Haley. Or the hope that they stop asking Jackson what quarterback to get — thank goodness A.J. McCarron is in Buffalo by the way.

All Jackson did was point out that the players need to be better. While this is true, a good coach starts with himself and leads by example. Jackson has done nothing in his career and should be the one thing “cleansed” from this team.

As long as he’s here blaming everyone else for his shortcomings, the toxic attitude will need to be cleaned.
