Daily Dawg Tags: Cleveland Browns say goodbye Mr. Kessler, hello Mr. Allen?
By Randy Gurzi
The Daily Dawg Tags brings you all the news you need to know in order to keep up to date with your Cleveland Browns and the rest of the NFL
The offseason full of roster shake ups has continued as the Cleveland Browns have sent away another young face. This time it was quarterback Cody Kessler, who started eight games at quarterback as a rookie in 2016.
That move wasn’t unexpected after Cleveland added Tyrod Taylor via trade to be the starter and Drew Stanton via free agency to be the second-string signal caller. As for their third spot, the Browns are expected to use the No. 1 overall pick on a guy to groom to be the franchise player.
Which brings us to the next subject, who to draft at No. 1. While the consensus has been Sam Darnold, the good old “expert” at ESPN, Mel Kiper, is all in on Josh Allen and thinks the Browns should go with him.
It’s funny because Kiper says that the terrible completion percentage out of Allen means nothing, but that the same thing for Lamar Jackson means he should be a wide receiver.
That news and more can be found in today’s Daily Dawg Tags.
