Cleveland Browns: 7-Round Mock Draft as April nears

A look at what the Cleveland Browns could do in the 2018 NFL Draft now that free agency has slowed and the Pro Days are in the rear view mirror
The Cleveland Browns are still set to rule the 2018 NFL Draft, but no one knows for sure what they’re going to do. We all have our opinions, but no one really knows.
It’s possible that even general manager John Dorsey isn’t sure yet, but it’s more likely he just doesn’t want to show his hand. We all seem to agree that he wants to go for a young franchise quarterback — despite having Tyrod Taylor on the roster.
Dorsey brought in Taylor in exchange for a third-round pick and the move was pretty smart. They now have a proven quarterback under center and even if they get a rookie, they won’t feel pressure to start him before he’s ready.
Of course Dorsey has other holes to fill, but there’s plenty of ammunition to do that. The Browns own the fourth-overall pick in the draft and then they have three more in the second round.
Cleveland owns four more picks after that to add depth, but the real key will be the talent they add in those first five picks. Here we try and predict what they do with each selection in the 2018 NFL Draft, starting with the No. 1 overall choice.
